Biography
From the cultural melting pot of South Florida comes FUSIK: a funk band that embraces, explores and imparts multiple elements of music into their sound. Keyboard wizard Charles Gardner pushes out layer after layer of classic tones, from spiritual organ to fat disco synth as he and blues/rock guitarist & gritty soul singer Anton ‘Sanchez’ Rivera create melodies from every and any genre…latin soul, blues, jazz, rock..they play it all…add the stone cold pocket grooves laid down by drummer Daniel ‘Felix’ Garcia, the BIG boom of bassist Mack Henry Moore III and super conguero Danny ‘Quinto’ Naval, and you have the complete recipe for the body moving, ever groovin’ FUSIK sound.

QuintoAdding the percussion spice to the quintet is Danny “Quinto” Naval. Hailing out of Miami, Fl, this first generation Cuban-American brings his brand of conga drumming to the outfit, giving Fusik a touch of spicy sofrito. Growing up in a Cuban household gave him exposure to a wide range of Latin musical styles. Mostly influenced by giants like Irakere, Ray Barretto and Santana, Quinto always dug deeper and deeper into his roots to learn his craft and find inspiration. Percussion has always been an important factor in Latin music, whether it’s the congas, bongos or timbales it’s the sound of those skins that catch Quinto’s attention. The energy passed down from the conguero to the dancer always intrigued and inspired him to pick up the conga drum, and that he did. Danny began teaching himself how to play in 2006, and joined Fusik in 2010. |

MackMack Moore III has always had an affinity for music and taught himself guitar shortly before meeting Antonio and Felix and starting FUSIK. His unique stylish ways and kind nature has earned him the affectionate nickname, “The Black Dove” from his band mates and close friends. His natural talent has led him to play not just guitar, but also bass, charango and cavaquino. His stage presence and knack for tasty & complimentary bass lines is the foundation for the funk flow and image of FUSIK. |

FelixFelix’s music career came out of his passion for dance. As a youth he was heavily involved in the Bboy community and Hip Hop culture. He traveled throughout the United States, battling with his crew. After suffering an injury to his knee and having to stop dancing for a while, Felix took a negative situation and created a positive one. He channeled all of his energy and rhythm into music by playing the drums. This led him to meet Mack and Sanchez and sparked the start of Fusik. |
